Jerry Ewing Winn, of Adams, TN, passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at the age of 84.
Jerry was born January 14, 1940, in Montgomery County, TN, to the late Frank B. Winn and Cora Gunn.
Jerry is survived by his sons, Andy (Jennifer) Winn and Jerry Winn, Jr.; brothers, David, Frank, Charles, Bill, Bob, and Robert; grandchildren, Stephanie, Jenna, Jeremy, Chris, and Justin; and great-grandchildren, Soren and Murphy.
Jerry grew up farming and worked in the construction of TVA in Cumberland City. He and his brother, “Tar” started Winn Construction and worked in the coal mining industry in Kentucky for many years. His dream was to move back to Clarksville and open a rock quarry. His dream became a reality when Winn Materials was opened in 1996.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Neal Tarpley Parchman Funeral Home on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at 12:00 PM with Rev. Donnie Winn officiating. Visitation will be Friday, August 9, 2024, from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM and Saturday, August 10, 2024, from 10:00 AM until the hour of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Sango Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
