Clyde Burton Goad, age 84, of Clarksville, passed away on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at St. Thomas West Hospital, in Nashville.
He was born in Nashville, TN, to the late Oscar Allen Goad and Alma Woodard Goad. Burton was also preceded in death by his wife, Iris Jernigan Goad, and two brothers, Glenn and Jackie Goad.
Survivors include his daughter, Connie Monroe; three sons, Kelly Goad, of Houston, TX, Barry Goad, of Shiloh, TN, and Brian Goad, of Clarksville; two brothers, Bobby Goad and Tommy Goad, both of Clarksville; five grandchildren, Matthew Monroe, Amanda Kemmerlin, Brittani Goad, Emily Goad, and Graham Goad; and great granddaughter, Chloe Kemmerlin.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Monday, June 16, at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home.
There will be a few less jokes and a lot less laughter with his absence. Remembering him will always bring smiles and stories that will grow more entertaining as time goes on. We will miss the energy and enthusiasm he brought to all of us who knew him.
He touched the lives of so many with infectious humor and an easy familiar charm. He sought out many activities to satisfy an appetite for knowledge and understanding of a world he was determined to experience. He is missed already, and he will be remembered always.
