James “Mil” Milton Pettus III passed away on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at the age of 66.
James was born December 20, 1957, to the late James and Doris Pettus. He is also preceded in death by his siblings, Bobby Wayne Pettus, Michael DeRoin, David Lane, and Katie Nell Pettus Jenkins.
James is survived by his sisters, Delores P. Herring, Marvella Pettus, and Pamela Cox. He will be remembered for his love of music and singing and his love for his beloved pet dogs.
