William Baldwin Jobe, 37, of Clarksville & Dover, TN, died in Clarksville on Sunday, June 16, 2024.
Will was born in Clarksville on September 1,1986 to a loving family. He was the youngest, and much adored, of four siblings. His love for baseball began as soon as he was able to pick up a ball and bat. He was a true sports enthusiast, but baseball was in his heart. He graduated with Honors at Stewart County High School in 2004 before attending Austin Peay State University. He was a teacher and baseball coach in the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System. Though, in the last several years, Will worked for Allnite Glass with his dear friend and brother-in-law. He was recently promoted and was excited about his new position. He enjoyed his job and his work family.
Will loved big; he was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. He loved his friends. He loved his family. He loved his parents. He loved his siblings. He loved his aunts, uncles, and cousins. He loved his grandparents. And they all loved him. He was truly everybody’s baby. He had special relationships with each of his nephews and niece, and he and his nephews shared an affinity for baseball. He never turned down a game of catch, and he could be found cheering them on loudly from the stands. He loved the Tennessee Vols, the Kentucky Wildcats, and especially the St. Louis Cardinals. He loved a good meal and a good movie. Will also loved fishing; his favorite fishing hole was Standing Rock Creek. He had many good times fishing on the creek with his friends and his niece. Will called the creek, “My one true happy place on this planet.”
Will is survived by his parents, Bruce and Debbie Jobe; siblings, Jim (Lexi) Jobe, Bill (Monica) Jobe, and Julie (Ryan) Hester; his niece and nephews, Cole Jobe, Harper Jobe, Rhett Hester, and Seth Jobe; and his grandmother, Mildred Jobe.
