CLARKSVILLE, TN – Clarksville Parks and Recreation is proud to announce the inaugural Clarksville Half Marathon & 5K, proudly presented by Hankook Tire.
The event will take place on Saturday, November 2. Race day will begin and end in downtown Clarksville. The event will also feature local, live music along the three routes, food and beverages, and a post-race concert, offering something for everyone to enjoy.
Applications for food concessionaires and on-course entertainment will open on July 15.
Courses
Both the half marathon and 5K races are USA Track and Field (USATF)-certified courses and will be chip-timed. Cash prizes will be awarded to top finishers. Additionally, there will be a one-mile fun run for those looking for a shorter distance.
- The half marathon course will start in downtown Clarksville, taking runners down Riverside Drive along the Cumberland River. Participants will then go through Liberty Park and McGregor Park, continue onto the Austin Peay State University campus, and finish with a race down Franklin Street to the finish line.
- The 5K course will utilize the areas of downtown Clarksville and the APSU campus. This course is designed to offer runners a scenic and enjoyable route through the heart of the city.
- The one-mile fun run will also take place in Downtown Clarksville.
