CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – One person was killed in a hit-and-run wreck on Peachers Mill Road Sunday night.
At about 7:50 p.m., the vehicles crashed; witnesses said a red Ford Fusion was involved and may have damage to the rear section of that vehicle. The Fusion left the scene, continuing northbound on Peachers Mill, according to Clarksville Police spokesman Officer Scott Beaubien.

The second vehicle struck a pole and came to rest off the roadway, and that driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
Peachers Mill Road was shut down and traffic is being diverted onto Abraham Drive and West Allen Griffey Rosd. Fatal Crash Investigators (FACT) were en route to the scene.
Anyone who sees a red Ford Fusion with damage to the rear section should call 911 immediately.
