Donald Ray Atkins, of Clarksville, TN, passed away on Friday, April 26, 2024, at the age of 86.
Donald was born in Clarksville, TN on June 15, 1937, to the late James Irvin Atkins and Bertie Ethel Mann. Donald is also preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia Anne Allen, brother Rex Atkins and sister, Margie Welker.
Don graduated Clarksville High School in 1956. Served honorably in the United States Air Force and then began his career in Credit Management and retired from Tom James in 2006.
Don is survived by his sons, Steve (Janette) Atkins and Scott Atkins; daughters, Dianne (Les) Rye and Suzanne (Greg) Havens; grandchildren, Jonathan, Tyler, Laura, Jared, Jenna, Katelyn, Ryan, Taylor and Delaney along with 11 great grandchildren.
Don was a family man and valued his relationship with God and country as well as being an avid UT Football fan. Don was an active member of the Clarksville community who served diligently in the First Presbyterian Church of Clarksville and touched many lives. He is loved and will be missed by all.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Neal Tarpley Parchman Funeral Home with Pastor Scott Aleridge officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, May 4, 2024, from 11:00 AM until the time of service at Neal Tarpley Parchman Funeral Home.
