CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Miss Tennessee USA 2014, Kristy Landers Niedenfuer, 22, will be on stage in Baton Rouge to compete for the title of Miss USA 2014.
The 63rd annual Miss USA Pageant will be telecast live from the Baton Rouge River Center in Louisiana on June 8 at 8/7c on NBC.
The daughter of World Series winning pitcher Tom Niedenfuer and 80’s TV icon Judy Landers, Kristy is known for her Nashville-based charity event planning business and as a singer, songwriter and model. She has graced the runways for some of today’s top designers and has been featured in many highly acclaimed magazines. Along with being a successful businesswoman and model, she is academically gifted, having graduated from one of the best high schools in the country at the tender age of 16.
Kristy is an avid supporter of several notable causes, including the Wounded Warrior Project, Breast and Ovarian Cancer Awareness, The Humane Society and The Boys and Girls Club. She is a life-long vegetarian and animal lover who has adopted several rescue dogs. She is the first female spokesperson for Operation Troop Aid, an organization designed to honor and provide for American heroes protecting our nation. She also sits as a board member for the organization.
The winner of the Miss USA Pageant, owned by Donald Trump, will go on to compete in the Miss Universe Pageant.
Applications are being accepted from young women throughout the state of Tennessee who would like to compete in the 2015 Miss Tennessee USA and Teen USA Pageants in October.
For the 15th year, Clarksville will host the Miss Tennessee USA and Miss Tennessee Teen USA Pageants at the Austin Peay State University Music and Mass Communications Building Concert Hall on October 3-4, 2014. Tickets will go on sale in September.
Qualified applicants must be a resident of Tennessee, a single female (never married and never had a child) and a U.S. citizen. Those wishing to apply must be between 18 and 27-years-old for Miss Tennessee USA or 14 and 19-years-old for the Teen pageant as of February 1, 2015.
