A Celebration of Life service for Frances LaVerne Riggins, age 85, of Clarksville, TN, will be Monday, March 4, 2024, at 12:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home. Pastor Nick Lennon will officiate. Burial will follow at Saddlersville Cemetery in Adams, TN. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the time of service.
Frances was born on August 10, 1938, in Robertson County, TN, to Homer and Eunice Mae Taylor who preceded her in death. She passed away on February 27, 2024. Frances retired from CMCSS as an educator. She spent her entire career at Byrns Darden Elementary School. Frances was a member of Park Lane Church of the Nazarene and enjoyed serving as a Sunday School teacher or in the nursery. She loved being with her family and flower gardening.
In addition to her parents, Frances was preceded in death by her husband Billy G. Riggins; son, James William Riggins; and sister, Betty Monk. She is survived by her sons, Billy (Angie) Riggins, II and Randall Riggins; sister, Linda Taylor; grandchildren: Matthew, Megan, and Zachary; and great-grandchildren, Mason, Lily and Rylin.
