Justin Aldred has been serving the financial and wealth management needs of his clients in Clarksville since 2017. A native of Clarksville, he strives to develop long-term relationships with his clients. Now, he wants those clients to know he’s moving to another stage in his career, owning his business under the Raymond James umbrella as Aldred Wealth Management.
Aldred started with another national firm seven years ago. “That path was great, but I didn’t have as many options as I wanted to serve my clients’ accounts the way I wanted to,” Aldred said.
With Raymond James, he has more flexibility for advertising and for pricing, plus a wealth of resources from other Raymond James specialty professionals.
Aldred will also move from a partner position to being the owner of his new business. And, he is accepting new and existing clients.
Why wealth management?
As a financial advisor and wealth manager, Aldred said his role is to help his clients filter the emotions surrounding big decisions they have to make with the money they’ve spent their lives earning and saving. “The more you can carefully process the emotions you have with your money, the more you can make wise, informed decisions,” he said.
“People have fears about saving vs. spending when they retire. My role is to give people the confidence to do that in ways that allow them to truly enjoy their retirement while still having enough to last through their golden years.”
When it comes to younger clients, Aldred provides that same “neutral advisor” role. “For clients who are just starting to invest and save, it’s about validating their fears and sticking to the investment plan.”
He compares working with a financial advisor to hiring a landscaper. “Anyone can cut their own yard, and do it for free,” Aldred said. “But if you hire a landscape professional, he edges your sidewalk and trims your bushes. He cuts back the flowers that need to be cut and leaves the right ones alone. Having a professional by your side reduces the little mistakes and helps avoid the big mistakes.”
Why Aldred Wealth Management?
Aldred works diligently to help clients develop both their personal financial plan and a detailed investment strategy. His planning-based approach is designed to help clients meet current financial needs while working toward future goals; mitigate tax liabilities and successfully address estate issues; get better control of discretionary expenses; and reach their long-term financial goals.
Aldred’s perspective is shaped not only by his professional journey but also by his personal life. He is happily married to Payton Aldred, a mental health therapist, and together they embrace the importance of empathy in their client relationships. They both share a passion for nature, hiking, running and animals of all kinds. “The similarities between these passions and financial planning is clear,” he said. “You must enjoy what you love today, as well as protect it for the next generation.”
Investing involves risk, and Aldred is here to help you navigate it with personal care and strategic planning.
