Question: What do I need to bring with me when buying a vehicle?

Answer: When buying a vehicle, we want to be efficient with your time at Jenkins & Wynne so that you can get on the road in your new vehicle faster! Bringing the following items with you will help expedite the process and paperwork.

  1. Valid driver’s license.
  2. Current insurance card.
  3. Registration for trade-in and the title if you have it.
  4. It is not uncommon for the lender to ask for proof of income, proof of residence, proof of pay, and proof of the company you work for.
  5. Who has your current loan? Having the name and phone number and account number handy will expedite the paperwork.
  6. The vehicle key or key fob to your trade in – preferably both keys/fobs if you have them.
  7. Do you have kids in car seats? You are welcome to put the car seats in the vehicle you are testing!
  8. If you have a co-signer who will obtain a loan with you, he/she will need to be present to sign paperwork.
  9. For every $1,000 you put down as down payment, it helps your payment about $20. We can take up to $2,000 on a credit card.
  10. If you are currently stationed at Fort Campbell, you are tax-exempt! Please bring your current LES and Orders.
  11. If you have an AXZD plan, we will need your PIN number and sponsor’s information.
