Rickey L. Williams, 69, of Clarksville, TN passed away on Friday November 3, 2023, after a short illness at Tennova Hospital in Clarksville, TN. Rickey was born on February 5, 1954, to the late Jewel H. Williams and Marie Townzen Williams. He was a graduate of Clarksville High School, class of 1972. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Roger Lynn Williams. He was of the Baptist faith.
Rickey was an avid bowler and competed in and won many local and national amateur bowling tournaments. He bowled over half a dozen perfect games and an 800 series during his bowling career. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren to whom he was affectionately known as Papaw Rickey. Rickey was retired from Orgain Building Supply where he worked many years and enjoyed a close comradery with his employers and coworkers.

Rickey is survived by his loving wife, Essie Williams and his faithful canine companion, Willie; a daughter, Tiffany Williams and 3 stepchildren, Qid Love of Washington State, Khadra Clayborn (Harold) of Murray, KY, and Trisha Trullinger (Kenneth) of Calvert City, KY; 6 step grandchildren, Brandon Matties, Maria Johnston, Brandi Jo Clinton, Andrew Clayborn, Caleb Clayborn, and Samuel Clayborn; one sister-in-law, Linda Williams; niece, Lori (Jeff) Myatt and 2 great nephews, Clayton and Carson Myatt, all of Clarksville, TN.

The family will hold a private Celebration of Life service at a later date.
