CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A second wanted man has been arrested in a drug-deal fatal shooting of a Clarksville man in June 2018.
Kylando Catwan Mason, 31, was taken into custody Oct. 4 on charges of first-degree murder and aggravated robbery in the death of 30-year-old James Wells in a nightclub parking lot.
Clarksville Police previously arrested Shundarion Dayqwhon Taylor, 27, and both men – along with a third as-yet-unnamed individual – were indicted by the June term of the Montgomery County Grand Jury on the murder and robbery charges.

Police detectives determined the fatal shooting occurred during a drug transaction. On June 5, 2018, the suspects met with Wells in the parking lot of The Verge on Nolen Road. The suspects got in a fight with Wells, stole heroin and cash from him, and shot him in the back, according to the indictment and previous reports.
Wells was found by police with gunshot wounds inside a vehicle. He was transported by ambulance to Tennova and at some point died from his injuries.
Police later found a handgun at Taylor’s residence with an expended shell casing in the chamber of the gun, according to previous reports.
