OAK GROVE, KY (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The Clarksville Hispanic Heritage Celebration featured food, activities, live music, dancing, vendors and more, all at Valor Hall in Oak Grove.
The festival was launched in 2021 with the intention of creating awareness about the diversity of Latin American cultures represented in Clarksville.
Many guests showed their appreciation, including Mayor Joe Pitts, who stated, “Clarksville and this region have the best Hispanic community,” as he proclaimed Sept. 15 through Oct. 15, 2023, as National Hispanic Heritage Month.
“I encourage all people in our community to observe this month to celebrate our diverse heritage and culture and continue our efforts to create a world that is more just, peaceful, and prosperous for all,” Pitts said.
Hispanic Heritage Clarksville mentions that this year’s festival was intentionally meant to demonstrate how strong our community is and continues to be.
