CLARKSVILLE, TN – Greenwood Cemetery will host the annual “Laying of the Wreaths” ceremony for the third time on Dec. 16. The ceremony is to be held at 9 a.m. at Greenwood Veterans Memorial just inside the gates.
A color guard will present the flags and wreaths will be presented for: Army, Air Force, Navy, Marines, Coast Guard, Space Force, National Guard, Prisoners of War and Missing in Action.
Donations are being taken until Nov. 28. Anyone can make a donation online at Wreaths Across America. On the website, if two wreaths are purchased, three wreaths will be received. A memorial can be left on the page for loved ones as well. To purchase wreaths or to volunteer to place wreaths on a veteran’s grave the day of the ceremony, visit www.wreathsacrossamerica.org/TNGRNC. To make a cash donation, send it to Greenwood office at 976 Greenwood Ave. and the money will be sent in to purchase the wreaths.
