CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Back in May, the smokehouse for Excell Market Bar-B-Q was demolished in a fire. The shop itself wasn’t damaged, but the source for all their beloved meats was in rubble. Now, the smokehouse has been rebuilt, and customers are already lining up.
Owner Luck Chaudhary said after re-opening, he is already out of stock of meat to smoke.

Denise Blakely, an employee of Excell, said the response from the community has been “just tremendous.”
“When it burnt down, we had people volunteering to come help us clean up and everybody would call and ask how we were doing,” Blakely said. “This past weekend, we opened it up for the first time, and it was just overwhelming. I know how this community is and know how they feel about Excell; it wasn’t a surprise to me. … They are ready for it again!”
Chaudhary said Excell will be open Friday, Aug. 25, starting at 9 a.m. Moving forward, they will be open Monday-Saturday, 5:30 a.m. to 8 .m. and on Sundays 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Excell Market Bar-B-Q is at 3102 Ashland City Road.
