CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – A sinkhole opened up Wednesday on 5th Avenue South in downtown Nashville.
WKRN News 2 reports that a parking lot attendee first noticed the five foot wide sinkhole Tuesday night.
Crews blocked off the road and began making repairs Wednesday. Officials believe nearby construction may have weakened the road.
The sinkhole was filled and a metal plate was placed on top of it and the road was reopened Wednesday afternoon.
