CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A body was found in the Cumberland River last week, and police are investigating what happened.
At about 2:50 p.m. on Wednesday, July 26, police responded to Trice Landing about a body in the river, according to a Clarksville Police news release Tuesday morning.

The victim, 32-year-old Dominick “Aquaman” Chacon, originally from California, was spotted by some individuals who were working on a barge. Chacon was pronounced deceased at the scene, and the next of kin notifications have been made to his family.
“It does not appear that there was any foul play involved in his death, however, this is still an ongoing investigation,” police said.
Trice Landing is just downstream of the Red River, off of Oak Street.
Detectives are asking anyone with information or who had contact with Chacon last week to contact Detective Green at 931-648-0656, ext. 5149.
