Update, 11:52 a.m.: A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for western Montgomery County plus Stewart and Houston counties until 12:30 p.m.
At 11:50 a.m., a severe thunderstorm was located 10 miles south of Turkey Bay, moving southeast at 45 mph with possible 60 mph wind gusts and penny-size hail, according to the National Weather Service.

“Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees,” the alert said. “For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.”
In Kentucky, Christian and Todd counties are under a Severe Thunderstorm Warning until 12:30 p.m.
