CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Rain should be out of the way going into the weekend, so it’s a great time for Earth, Wind & Fire, or maybe Shakespeare in the Park!

Downtown @ Sundown: Concert series, this Friday, July 21, featuring Shining Star (Earth, Wind & Fire tribute band). At the Downtown Commons, chairs and blankets are welcome; however, pets, coolers, smoking/vaping or outside alcohol are not allowed. Food and beverage trucks will be on site. The free concert is from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Downtown Commons is located at 215 Legion Street.

Shakespeare in the Park: Clarksville Parks and Recreation presents performances, activities, games and food trucks, as part of the Summer in the Park series. the event will be at Liberty Park, Saturday July 22. Cost is free and will be from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Historic Collinsville Storytelling Festival: Historic Collinsville Pioneer Settlement in rural Montgomery County is hosting their Storytelling Festival. From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday July 22, visitors will have a variety of ways to immerse themselves in the storytelling experience with both site and guest storytellers.  The event is from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Cost of admission is $10 for ages 13 and up, and $5 for ages six to 12. Historic Collinsville is located at, 4711 Weakley Road, Southside.

Montgomery County Fair: Starting on Saturday, July 17, Montgomery County is having a fair full of amusement rides, fair food and live entertainment. The Montgomery County Fair will include pig racing, an enduro race, and flat track bike racing. Visit the fair between July 27-July August 5. Admission into the fair is $7 for adults, and $4 for kids ages four to 11. Anyone 3 and under is free. Prices for armbands, rides and events happing on the fairgrounds vary.
