OAK GROVE, KY (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Visit Oak Grove hosted its first Kentucky Bands, Bourbon and Wine Festival on Saturday, featuring samples from across the state, as well as food and beverage vendors and live music.

“Today, we have a bunch of breweries, distilleries and wineries giving out samples and selling their products by the drink, and the bottle,” Visit Oak Grove’s Britnee Ohman said. “We also have food vendors out here and three bands that will be playing throughout the afternoon.”

Ohman said Saturday’s event brought 10 alcohol vendors and eight food vendors to the grounds of Valor Hall Conference and Event Center. In addition to local favorites MB Roland and Casey Jones Distillery, others including Dueling Grounds Distillery and Silent Brigade Distillery were on hand, offering samples of their most popular products.

“This is our first time doing an event like this,” Ohman said. “We’re hoping it does really well, so we can continue it every year. We have been contacted by nearly 30 vendors who want to join us next year. So this is an event that is going to grow, for sure.”
