Joseph L. Ellis, 49, of Southside, TN passed away on July 10, 2023.
Celebration of Life will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, July 15, 2023, at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Clark Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at Tatum-Coleman Cemetery.
The Ellis family will receive friends from 4 p.m.-7 p.m. on Friday, July 14, 2023, and from 9 a.m. until the hour of the service on Saturday at the Funeral Home.
Joseph was born on December 8, 1973, in Montgomery Co., TN, son of James Ellis and Marylou Jackson Ellis. He worked as a unit operator for the TVA. Joseph loved spending time outdoors and had a talent for carpentry.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
In addition to his father, Joseph is survived by his wife, Evelyn Vasquez Ellis; daughters, Ryan (Devin) Penner, Paige Ellis, Amy Ellis, and Shelby Ellis; sons, Nicholas Hitzel and Tanner Hitzel; brother, Jeremy (Dana) Ellis; sisters, Tiffany (Jory) Daubenspeck and Laura (Jonathan) Crawford; and twelve grandchildren.
