Barbara L. Walker, 68, of Clarksville, Tennessee passed away on June 4, 2023, at home after a two-year battle with cancer. She was born on March 18, 1955, in Minot, North Dakota to the late Walter and Dorothy Schimming Dunham. Barbara married the love of her life, Arnold J. Walker on October 24, 1996.
Barbara graduated from Palermo Public High School in Palermo, North Dakota. She attended North Dakota State University Bottineau Branch and Institute where she earned her associate’s degree in Greenhouse and Flower Shop Management. She spent 35 years working with civil service as a budget analyst. She enjoyed spending time with her husband, playing golf, fishing, and painting when she could.
In addition to her parents, Barbara is preceded in death by her brother, Andrew John Dunham. Barbara is survived by her loving husband, Arnold J. Walker; sister, Bev Hemming of Kenmare; brothers, Walt Dunham of Palermo, ND and David Dunham of Bismark, ND; many nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; a great-great nephew; and dear friend, Madeline Sommars.
A private Graveside service will be held at a later date for close family and friends.
