Edward Adolph Kern, PhD, age 88, passed away Thursday, April 6, 2023, at his home.
Edward was born September 14, 1934, to the late Adolph and Eleanor Margaret Bernecker Kern in Saginaw, MI. He is survived by his wife, Eunice Grohman Kern; daughter Julie Kern; son Mike Kern; grandson Jacob Kern and his wife, Alexandra; and his sister, Lois Eischer.
Mr. Kern served his country in the US Air Force and retired as a US Coast Guard Reserves. He was a graduate of Michigan Tech, receiving his Master’s Degree from Ohio State University and PhD from Michigan State University, working as an Aerospace Engineer for TRW.
He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and enjoyed gardening and running.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 4:30 p.m., Monday, April 10, 2023, at Grace Lutheran Church with Pastor Larry Peters officiating. Visitation will be held 3:30 p.m. until the hour of service at Grace Lutheran Church, 2041 Madison Street, in Clarksville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grace Lutheran Church 2041 Madison St. Clarksville, TN 37043.
