Jennie Ramey, age 110 of Clarksville passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at her residence.
Visitation will be from noon until 8 p.m. Monday, May 5, 2014 with the family present from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Foston Funeral Home. Funeral service will be from 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at Christ the Healer Church. Burial Mt. Zion Church Cemetery Round Pound.
She was born April 19, 1904 in Montgomery County,Tennessee to the late Dollie Burton and Henry Workman. She was a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church Round Pound where she served on the Mother’s Board and Cemetery Committee.She is preceeded in death by her son Cornelius Ramey and daughter Margaret Smith and brother Jesse Burton.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory daughters Sarah Jordan and Lottie Thornton;sons Rufus H. “Sonny” Ramey and Norman “Burt” Ramey and a sister Elnora Hanson sixteen grandchildren and twent-four great grandchioldren and nineteen great great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
