William N. Jenkins age 92 of Clarksville, TN passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2023. Visitation Monday, March 13, 2023, 12:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. with the family present 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at Foston Funeral Home. Celebration of Life 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at Greater Ebenezer AME Church. Interment Kentucky Veteran Cemetery West, Hopkinsville, KY.
William was born September 30, 1930, in Clarksville, TN to William McKinley Jenkins and Margaret Dixon Jenkins. He is preceded in death by his loving wife Estelle Jenkins, parents, siblings, Lynwood Jenkins, Leonard Jenkins, Louise McNair, Nanny B. Stewart, Georgia Fletcher and Clara Fletcher.
William was a faithful member of Greater Ebenezer AME Church and was a Master Baber at Keesee Barber Shop until his retirement.
He leaves to cherish his memories devoted daughters, Sherryle (Clinton) Fletcher, Elaine Jenkins, Gwendolyn (Donell) Lewis, Gwenevere (Dennis) Allen and Daphne (Stanley) Cooper all of Clarksville, TN; 4 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; sisters, Elizabeth Sanders, Gallatin, TN and Helen Moody Cleveland, OH, a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
