Defonso Boyd Cooksey, age 50, of Clarksville, TN passed away on Monday, March 6, 2023, at his home.
He was born on January 19, 1973, in Erin, TN to Brenda Carter and the late Harold Cooksey. Defonso graduated from Houston County High School in 1991. He loved sports and was a huge Dallas Cowboys fan.
Left to cherish his memory is his mother and stepfather, Brenda and Melvin Stacker; his wife, Laraye Cooksey; children, DeVanta Bellamy, Jasmine (Craig) Cooksey-Tipton, and Destiny Cooksey; siblings, Melvin C. (Emily) Stacker and Juantrica B. Stacker, and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, aunt, uncles, and cousins.
Defonso is preceded in death by his father, Harold Cooksey; maternal grandparents, George and Beatrice Carter; paternal grandparents, William and Frances Cooksey, and step-grandmother, Juanita Stacker.
