Marie Holt, age 87, of Clarksville, passed away Saturday, February 18, 2023. Marie was born November 29, 1935, the oldest of 13 children born to the late Monroe Walker, Sr. and Bertie Walker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jimmy Holt; sisters, Ivy Walker, Joyce Morrow and Florence Underwood; brothers, Monroe Walker, Jr., James Walker and Johnny Walker. She is survived by her sisters, Jewell Morrow, Shirley (Lloyd) Simmons, Anita (Dave) Clark, Ann Ragan, Nancy (Jim) Grubb and Susan (Joe) Boyce; sisters-in-law, Reba Walker and Cathy Walker and many other family members.
Marie was a member of First Baptist Church in Clarksville and was retired from Josten’s. Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 21, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. with a Celebration of Life service to follow at Neal Tarpley Parchman Funeral Home. Brother Roger Freeman will officiate, and pallbearers will be Justen Grubb, Nathan Simmons, Mark Hollis, Addam Clark, Jamie Schmid and Joseph Coker.
