Officials warn of man posing as Sheriff’s Lieutenant

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Tenn. – Officials are warning the public of a man calling citizens, purporting to be a Lieutenant with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.

“He’s been calling, advising people that they have a warrant on file,” said Captain Jesse Reynolds.

Reynolds added that if the Sheriff’s Office had a warrant on file, officers would come to them in uniform or a marked patrol vehicle or request that they come to the Sheriff’s Office.
