CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – At their weekly meeting on Wednesday, members of the Clarksville Civitan Club spent time filling blessing bags for the homeless in our community. More than 30 bags were filled with various items like first aid kits, toothbrushes, toothpaste, hand sanitizer, disinfecting wipes, cheese and crackers and granola bars.

All of the items placed in the bags were collected and purchased by Civitan Club members. “We try to put things in the bags that we know they need based on feedback from other organizations that help the homeless,” Civitan Club secretary and office manager Donna Sabash said.

The bags will be donated to nonprofit organizations like YAIPak Outreach, Firehouse Day Shelter, and Room In The Inn.
