CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A carjacker who fled from police crashed a car into a tree on Old Russellville Pike Monday afternoon.
At about 1:22 p.m., a man carjacked a victim in the area of Cheshire Road, according to Clarksville Police spokesman Scott Beaubien.

He then tried but failed to carjack another vehicle, but then was successful in getting a vehicle from a third victim, Beaubien said.
After a short vehicle pursuit, the suspect, 23-year-old Stephean Kimble, crashed at about 1:49 p.m. near 1763 Old Russellville Pike and was taken into custody after a short foot pursuit.
Kimble was transported to Tennova Healthcare to be treated for non-lifethreatening injuries that he sustained in the crash.
He will be charged with two counts of carjacking and one count of attempted carjacking.
