CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Warm Souls Christmas, an annual free Christmas Eve event open to the public and hosted by Radical Mission Compassionate Ministries, is back to normal operations this year.

This year’s celebration will be Saturday, Dec. 24, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Austin Peay State University’s Morgan University Center. There will be a family-style dinner, haircuts, photo studio, kids’ corner, coats and winter weather items, new wrapped toys for children, and a gift for everyone 13 and older.

Jon Vaughn with Radical Mission said Warm Souls Christmas is and open to everyone. “Radical Mission is working to provide a space for everyone to come together and celebrate Christmas as a community, in a spirit of friendship and sharing God’s love,” Vaughn said.

In 2020 and 2021, the event was held curbside due to the pandemic. This year’s event will return inside APSU’s University Center. The Clarksville Transit System will provide free transportation the day of the event and will run round-trip routes.

The last indoor event in 2019 saw over 900 community members through the doors, with nearly 1,000 meals served, 150 haircuts given, 250 portraits taken, and hundreds of new gifts given to children and adults.

Warm Souls Christmas has helped those in need for close to 15 years, and it’s made possible by many generous organizations, churches, businesses and volunteers from across the city.
