Bobby Joe Pruitt, age 90, of Clarksville, passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at Centennial Hospital in Nashville.
Bobby was born July 16, 1932, in Woodlawn, TN, to the late Eunice Pruitt and Mattie Baxter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Mickle Pruitt and sisters, Mabel Burney and Annie Doris Pedigo.
He is survived by his daughters, Bobbie Ann Smith and Brenda L. (Thomas Black) Wilkinson; grandchildren, Danny (Christy) Holt, Ashley (Eric Wooten) Botts, Brittney (Nick) Lesser, Lauren Price and Adam (Kirstie) Price; nephew, Emerson A. Burney and Tommy Burney; great-grandchildren, Tyler Williams, Palmer Deffendoll and Hollis Ann Lesser. Bobby worked as a mechanic for Maynard Motors and loved racing and working on cars. He was the owner of the Beer Box in the Fredonia community. He was a hardworking and soft-hearted man who loved his family, especially his daughters and sister Dot.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Sunday, October 30, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home with burial to follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. Sunday until the hour of service at the funeral home.
