SSG Howard Wayne Brandon, ARMY (Ret), age 75, passed away on October 7, 2022, at Tennova Healthcare. He was born on April 11, 1947, in Johnson City, TN to Leonard and Christine Julian Brandon. Howard retired from the United States Army after 20 years and service in Vietnam. He retired a second time from the State of Tennessee Corrections. Howard enjoyed fishing, watching old westerns, and trying his luck at the casino.
In addition to his parents, Howard is preceded in death by his brother, Dean Brandon and sister, Dottie McGowen. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Darlene Brandon; daughter, Shanna (Jeremy) Hammons; and sister, Linda Monaghan.
