CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – It’s an Oktoberfest weekend, and this one involves a brewery, a winery and a whole other partner festival event.

Star Spangled Brewing Co.’s Oktoberfest Beer Party: Live German polka music from Beatrice and Derrol, dancing, beer-stein-holding contests, and axe-throwing will all be on tap. Family-friendly with things for the kids to do, including an Alpine horn-blowing contest. This Star-Spangled Brewing event is being held at Beachaven Vineyards and Winery, 1100 Dunlop Lane, from 3-10 p.m. Friday, noon-10 p.m. Saturday, and noon-10 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $5 for adults, kids free. VIP tickets $35 on Square.

Biketober Fest: Enjoy bikes, brews and brunch, plus games, prizes and a stunt show on Saturday from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at Appleton Harley Davidson, 2501 Ashland City Road. Donations collected for Tunnel to Towers Foundation. Includes a ride to Star-Spangled Brewing’s Octoberfest at Beachaven.

Downtown @ Sundown: The concert series welcomes Kat & Alex and Frank Ray to the stage Friday at 7 p.m. The free event is held at the Downtown Commons at 215 Legion St., and a variety of food trucks will line up on Main Street. Chairs and blankets are welcome, however, pets, coolers, smoking/vaping or outside alcohol will not be allowed.

African American Oral History Project: Fort Defiance Civil War Park, 120 Duncan St., welcomes guest speaker Jason McGowan of the MTSU Albert Gore Research Center to speak on “The Importance of Oral Histories” Saturday from 11 a.m. until noon.

Movies in the Park: The movie “Matilda” will start at sunset, around 6:45 p.m., on Saturday at the Liberty Park Amphitheater at 1188 Cumberland Drive. Guests are encouraged to arrive early and bring lawn chairs, blankets and bug spray. Alcohol and pets are prohibited during this event.
