CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The Clarksville-Montgomery County School System on Tuesday reviewed budget amendments for the 2022-23 school year, and they include several building repairs and projects.

CMCSS spokesman Anthony Johnson said one of the largest budget amendments is in capital projects, with $3.5 million provided by the Montgomery County Commission.

It includes $2.6 million at Northeast Middle School and the Greenwood Complex for roofing projects at both sites plus brick sealant at Greenwood.

Other projects include:

  • Glenellen Elementary: Extend sidewalks and add ADA ramp for SPED bus riders.
  • Kenwood Elementary: Playground access sidewalk and CDC concrete pad.
  • Clarksville High School: Tennis courts demolition and new construction, address underlying drainage issues.
  • Northeast High: Construct ADA sidewalk connecting visitor to home side of football field; site work to develop access to new JROTC storage building location.
  • Northwest High: Sewer line replacement (MH to Lafayette Road approximately 350 feet)
  • Systemwide upgrades: Site development projects; pavement repairs, asphalt repairs; etc.

Johnson said the School Board will vote Sept. 20 to finalize the plans.
