CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A major crash involving an overturned vehicle near Richview Middle School is expected to cause problems with getting kids home from school today.

At about 2:11 p.m., the crash happened at Warfield Boulevard and Richview Road, according to Clarksville Police Lt. Charles Gill.

“This crash has caused significant traffic congestion affecting the school zones on Richview Road,” Gill said. “The crash details are unknown at this time, except one vehicle has overturned, and someone was possibly ejected.”

Gill said to expect long delays for the school zone, and CPD is asking the public to avoid the area if at all possible.

At 2:45 p.m., southbound traffic was at a standstill back to Dunbar Cave Road.

“For individuals who have to pick up students from Richview Middle School and Clarksville High School, CPD would like to ask you to be patient and expect a long delay,” Gill said.
