Roy F. Head, age 88, of Clarksville, TN, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at the Tennessee State Veterans Home in Clarksville, TN.
Roy was born October 25, 1933, in Maury County, TN to the late George Head and Fannie Mai Whitworth Head. He is also preceded by his grandson, Clint Suggs.
He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Doris A. Lentz Head; son, Roy Steven Head; daughter, Gloria Jean ( Randy) Suggs; grandchild, Erica (Lee) Smith; great-grandchildren, Brandon, Brady, and Blake.
After 22 years of honorable service in the United States Army where he served in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. Roy continued his acts of service with an additional 22 years with the United States Postal Service. He enjoyed time with family, hunting and fishing.
A Celebration of Life Service, will be held Friday, August 26, 2022 at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m., at the Chapel of Neal Tarpley Parchman Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Friday, August 26, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
