CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Local independent retailers will be celebrating the globally recognized Record Store Day on Saturday, April 19.

From 10 a.m. until 10 p.m., the Clarksville music store Oddball Media and Music, formerly known as CD Warehouse located at 1631 Ft. Campbell Blvd. will be participating.

Nashville Record Store Day locations include: Grimey’s at 1604 8th Ave. S., Mckay Books at 636 Old Hickory Blvd., The Groove at 1103 Calvin Ave., Fond Object Records at 1313 Mcgavock Pike, Ernest Tubb Record Shop at 417 Broadway, Third Man Records and Novelties at 623 7th Ave. S. and The Great Escape 5400 at Charlotte Avenue.

Several stores will have live music, food, and drinks at their events.

Every participating location is described by the Record Store Day managers as “a stand alone brick and mortar retailer whose main primary business focuses on a physical store location, whose product line consists of at least 50% music retail, whose company is not publicly traded and whose ownership is at least 70% located in the state of operation.”

According to the official website, “Special vinyl and CD releases and various promotional products are made exclusively for the day.” See the full list of releases here.
