CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – It’s going to be a hot weekend, but if you can take the heat, there’s fun in store.
Movies in the Park: This week’s free movie is “Matilda,” on Saturday, July 23. Bring a blanket and/or lawn chairs and come hungry for the food available for purchase from food vendors on-site. Please leave pets and alcohol at home. The venue is Liberty Park, 1188 Cumberland Drive. Pre-movie events start at 6 p.m., with the movie at sunset (about 8 p.m.)
Smooth Jazz at Beachaven: Beachaven Vineyard and Winery, 1100 Dunlop Lane, will host a free jazz concert on Sunday, July 24, from 2-5 p.m., with saxophonist Harold Dawson performing. The event is free, with Beachaven wine for sale.
The Star-Spangled Girl: Love and politics blend in a bubbling series of funny happenings in this Neil Simon play at the Roxy Regional Theatre, 100 Franklin St. Tickets are $30 (adults) and $15 (10 and under). Showing for closing weekend 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
