CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Local leaders have begun preparing the 2023 Legislative Liaison Agenda to send to the capital and are asking for the public’s assistance in deciding what to include.
The Legislative Liaison Agenda is sent to state legislators every year, outlining what the city and county would like to see happen in Nashville. Last year’s agenda included widening I-24 and expanding Nashville State’s Clarksville Campus, among other measures.
Montgomery County is asking citizens to submit items for consideration by the Legislative Liaison Committee to consider, according to county spokesperson Michelle Newell. Agenda item suggestions can be emailed to manewell@mcgtn.net or mailed to 1 Millenium Plaza, Clarksville, TN 37040. The deadline for submissions is Aug. 4.
The Legislative Liaison Committee’s next scheduled meeting is Aug. 11 at 4 p.m. at the County Courthouse. The completed agenda will be presented to the Clarksville, Montgomery County state delegation in October 2022.
