Mrs. Estelle L. Jenkins, age 90, of Clarksville, went to be with the Lord of Thursday, July 14, 2022. Viewing Wednesday, July 20, 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. at Greater Ebenezer AME Church. Homegoing Celebration Wednesday, July 20, 2022 12:00 p.m. at Greater Ebenezer AME Church. Interment Kentucky Veteran Cemetery- West.
Mrs. Estelle was born October 19,1931 in Memphis, TN to the Novella Randolph Taylor and Lasalle Taylor. She was a kindhearted, sweet spirit woman who loved the Lord. She never met a stranger and adopted so many children that were just like her own. She worked many years and taught her daughters to be strong independent women. She was a faithful wife, loving mother, and grandmother. She was also a faithful member of Greater Ebenezer AME Church for many years. Mrs. Estelle was last employed with Hooker’s Funeral Home as a receptionist and the Director of Head Start Program.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories her husband, William N. Jenkins; daughters, Sherryle (Clinton) Fletcher, Elaine Jenkins, Gwendolyn (Donell) Lewis, Gwenevere (Dennis) Allen and Daphne (Stanley) Cooper all of Clarksville, TN; sisters, Lavonne Taylor, Memphis, Tennessee and Shirley Mitchell, San Diego, California; 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, a host of family and friends.
