Charles “Charlie” Ray Scott, age 87, of Clarksville, TN, passed away Saturday, July 9, 2022, at his residence.
Charles was born December 16, 1934, in Rose Hill, VA, to the late Obie Ray Scott and Edith Catron Scott. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Wilmoth Yvonne Scott; daughter, Janet Scott Redford; granddaughter, Amanda Smith and brothers, Willard, Elmer and Lester Scott.
He is survived by his son, Jason (Tonya) Scott; daughter, Cheryl Scott Smith; a brother, David Scott; two sisters Anna Roark and Pauline Brashear; five grandchildren, Charlie (Tammy) Axley, Edy Adelhardt, Rebecca (Joshua) Bennett, Jason Scott II and Payton Scott; and five great-grandchildren, James Adelhardt, Blake Bennett, Kayleigh Bennett, Brooklyn Axley and Shelby Axley.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Wednesday, July 13, at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, with Gary Herndon officiating. Burial will follow at EverRest of Cheatham. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 12, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
