CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – As badly as we need the rain, it will be a shame if the rain disrupts all the Fourth of July weekend events.

There’s a 30% chance we’ll get showers and storms on Friday, when we also have a heat index as high as 98 coming, according to the National Weather Service.

On Saturday and Sunday, there’s a 50% chance of showers and storms. That drops to 40% on Independence Day.
