CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) were joined by Sheriff’s Deputies from Dickson County Friday, April 11 at Clarksville High School (CHS) to show students the dangers of driving impaired.

The students, all seniors from CHS, took turns behind the wheel of an impaired driving simulator, driving a golf cart around orange cones with drunk goggles and taking part in a mock sobriety test.

“We’re just letting the students know the effects of drinking and driving,” said Lisa McClain, Administrator of the Driver Safety Program in Montgomery County.

Deputies from the MCSO assisting with the driver safety event included Sergeant Jimmy Brown, Deputies Jason Pike and Dennis Bowles along with School Resource Officers Malcolm Burgess and Tammy Axley. Representing Dickson County with their driving simulator vehicle was Deputy Paul Montgomery.
