CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – This weekend is packed with events. It’s going to be a busy time for you, Clarksville.
Downtown @ Sundown: On Friday from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Downtown Commons, Barracuda, a Heart tribute band, will be performing. Food trucks will be present as well.
Haystak’s last show at the Warehouse: On Friday, Haystak will perform their last show at The Warehouse Concert Lounge and Event Center. Tickets are $15 for a party all night from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. You have to be 18 or older to attend.
Culture Ball: Artistic Expression of Black Culture: Manifest Magic is holding this Juneteenth event at Civic Hall from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday. Enjoy art, fashion, music, spoken word and dance that artistically expresses the beauty of Black culture. There will be hor d’oeuvres, cocktails and networking. Seating is limited. Tickets are $45.
Clarksville Juneteenth Festival: There will be indoor booths, outdoor booths, live music, performances and food trucks to celebrate Juneteenth for the second year in a row on Saturday from noon to 9 p.m. at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center. This event is free.
Jazz on the Lawn: The Rhythm Kings and The Bicho Brothers will be playing outside Beachaven. Come out to try some wine and have a good time. This event is from 3 to 5 p.m. at Beachaven Winery, admission is $5 for adults and free for those 17 and younger.
Juneteenth Block Party: On Saturday starting at noon, the block party takes place at the Downtown Commons. In this the second year, the organizers have added more vendors, more entertainment, and more activities. Admission is free.
BLK Xcellence Brunch: The BLK Xcellence Brunch will take place Sunday at 1 p.m. and will feature a catered brunch, Black art displays, the BLK Xcellence Awards, and several cultural showcases and performances at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center. BLK Xcellence Awards will honor four local leaders for their success in business, activism and leadership. Tickets are $75 per person.
