CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Veteran-owned Leatherwood Distillery is expanding to open a Clarksville location on Progress Drive, offering tastings, live music and signature cocktails made with their own whiskey, bourbon and moonshine.
Owner Andrew Lang told Clarksville Now that Leatherwood has outgrown their current distillery in Pleasant View. Lang was informed by his friends at Star Spangled Brewing Co. that a space was open next door on Progress Drive, and it felt like a perfect fit.
That also plants the new distillery between Old Glory Distilling Co., Clarksville’ first distillery less than a mile away, and Beachaven Vineyards and Winery, 1.5 miles on the other side.
Just like their Pleasant View location, the new Leatherwood will offer food and a selection of signature cocktails as well as product tastings. Lang said he plans to host live music and other events as well.
Leatherwood will also have a retail component, offering bottles and their own line of clothing.
Lang said he doesn’t yet have an official opening date for the distillery, but is hoping to host a soft opening in the next couple of weeks.
The new Leatherwood Distillery will be at 1030A Progress Drive. They are currently located at 6381 Highway 41A, Pleasant View, and are open Wednesday-Friday from 3-11 p.m., Saturday from noon-11 p.m., and Sunday noon-6 p.m.
