Melvin Ray “Tex” Taylor-Jones, age 69, of Clarksville, TN, passed away on Saturday May 14, 2022 at his residence.
He was born December 9, 1952 in Wichita, KS, the son of the late Esther Jones and Elvin Taylor of Pittsburg, TX.
Tex was a hard worker throughout his life and was a brick layer for over 30 years. Most of that time was with Wasco in Nashville. He is a member of New Providence Church of Christ. He is also a member of Lonestar Lodge #15 where he served as Worshipful Master. He was also a member of Hasan Shrine # 150. Tex was also a part of the Old School Motorcycle Club.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife Sabine Margolf Jones of Clarksville; a son, Melvin Randall of Wichita, KS; a daughter, Nakia Gales of Dallas, TX; and a stepdaughter, Carrie Kellner of Newport News, VA. Tex is also survived by three grandsons. He was one of twelve children and is survived by many brothers and sisters.
A Memorial Service will be conducted on Saturday May 28, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at New Providence Church of Christ located at 421 Providence Blvd in Clarksville, TN.
