CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The driver of a dump truck that ran down an embankment this morning died at the scene.
At about 10:35 a.m., Clarksville Police received reports that a vehicle had gone off Quarry Road and down an embankment, according to police spokesman Scott Beaubien.
The driver of the International dump truck, 48-year-old Ervin Vincent, died at the scene. His next of kin has been notified.
Vincent had made the right turn onto Quarry from Providence Boulevard, but for an unknown reasons the truck continued the turn and ran off the side of the roadway.
Investigator Burton with the Fatal Accident Crash Team is investigating.
No further information has been released.
