The average kid spends only four minutes a day outside participating in unstructured play, but spends over seven hours watching a screen. The pandemic has raised stress levels on kids, but nearly 60% experienced improved mental health and well-being after being outdoors.
Do your children need more time outdoors? Yes, and Cumberland Youth Camp can get them there.

Located in Woodlawn on 360 privately owned acres with a 50-acre lake, Cumberland Youth Camp offers great food, new friends, tons of fun, and all surrounded by fabulous nature.
There are two camp options: overnight and day camps.
- Overnight camp is for ages 7-18, and camp weeks are Sunday afternoon until Friday morning.
- Day camp is for ages 6-12, and those run Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. each day.
Cumberland Youth Camp staffs one counselor for every eight campers, and has additional support staff. All buildings have air conditioning, so kids can get a break from the outdoors.

The camp, owned by an association of Free Will Baptist churches, offers daily Bible lessons, with many children being saved every year.
Among the fun activities:
- Fishing, canoeing, kayaking, and paddle boarding
- Giant swing
- Zip line
- Human foosball
- Crate stacking
- Bonfire
- Swimming pool
- Laser tag
- Game room

‘Best camp ever!’
Here’s what some parents had to say about Cumberland Youth Camp:
“Best camp ever! It was the first overnight camp that my boys attended. They’ve been attending every year for the past four! Stan and the counselors have dedicated so much love and hard work in making Cumberland Youth Camp what it is. It brings so much joy to my boys; thank you for everything you do!” – Nikki Irvin
“My kids (now 20 and 16) and I were just talking about the Bible verse they learned at camp at Easter. They actually quoted it, it was 1 Corinthians 10:31. ‘So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.’ The year they went, they said the verse before every meal. Almost eight years ago and they can still know it by heart.” – Rachel Dawn Short
“Cumberland Youth Camp is a fantastic place for fun, God-centered fellowship. Both of my children attended last year and we look forward to another week this summer. They truly love each camper well and it is evident in the way campers are so eager to return over and again, and then former campers continue on as camp counselors to share in the joy of their camp experiences by loving on the next generation!” – Katie Harding Barton
